I was feeling alone and isolated today then I got this painting that Carrie named after me. Not only is Carrie a gifted writer — even in her pain there’s subtle irreverence and humor which is goddamned refreshing. It’s truth! See boys and girls, you never know what joys are hidden in the minute of the day. Just stick around… Thank you Carrie. This really means a lot to me and I can’t wait to frame it. xoxo
That is a beautiful gift to receive!!
Love it!
Thanks Lynne! I feel really honored.
What you wrote in response is really beautiful. You are a gracious woman.
That’s so sweet Jessica! Thank you.
It’s so perfect! And it’s called Day of the Dead girl!
It makes me feel so, like somebody gets me — ahhhh… It really is perfect and I can’t wait to frame it and put it on the wall.
She really is terrific, isn’t she? I think I’ll go tell her that right now.
Carrie is generally gifted I think. I’m glad you agree!
Aww *blushes*. I know I only know you from words on a page, but I do feel like I know you and I did feel like a Day of the Dead girl was perfect. I can’t remember what you posted that inspired me, but I know I was reading on of your stories and put “Sandee” on my to do list. Then one day I just felt like drawing her. So I did.
Thank you for being you and being an inspiration! xox
Yay! I gotta tell you I should hope to be able to lift someone’s spirits the way your picture did mine.
I think you already do, it’s just no one has told you xox
Aw — too sweet! I hope so…
As I said on FB, I absolutely love it!
And I can’t to see it in person!
don’t blame ya!
