Cream’s ‘Sunshine of Your Love’
…And all those years I thought they were saying ‘I’ll stay with you till my seeds are dried up’ but they’re actually saying ‘I’ll stay with you till my seas are dried up.’ Same damn thing! It’s what they really mean, right? What the hell. I have no sense of poetry when it comes to that song. I suppose this is what I wished they were saying. But knowing that it’s ‘seas’ instead of ‘seeds’ takes some sexy out of it. It’s fucked up because I used to sing that part into my fist microphone with so much passion and I can’t see doing that now.
Auntie Sandee,
Hey… There’s no mistaken about the meaning of the name of the band, though. So see it as a half victory!
Le Clown
Ahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!! — Now, now you mustn’t allude to these innuendos with Auntie Sandee. 🙂
Seems to me you improved the lyric…so go with it!
Thanks Margarita — you’re a girl after my own heart!
Yeah, and I sing my made up lyrics all the time – to much hilarity from my family!
“Made up lyrics” — lol!
I am forever getting lyrics wrong.
tee hee, fist microphone.
The fist microphone is in the same family as the spoon and hairbrush microphones, only it’s more convenient 🙂
Luckily, the two words sound pretty much the same. So keep singing it your way. I bet no one notices.
Thanks for the support of my lyrics — you know, I think I will keep saying “seeds!” Lol!
